Over the last two years under the able stewardship of Dato’ Vincent Lim and the new Executive Committee members, MACEOS has initiated a number of activities such as:

  • Production of our own BE magazine.
  • Endorsed as a training provider by the Human Resource Development Fund (HRDF).
  • Set up our new office at Menara MATRADE with a permanent staff.
  • Familiarisation trips to Penang, Kuching and Kota Kinabalu in order to help foster growth in other areas of the country outside Kuala Lumpur.
  • Conducted Professional Conference Management (PCM) and Professional Exhibition Management (PEM) courses by our accredited trainers.
  • Organised the inaugural AEC+ EXPO 2015 initiated by AFECA which consisted of exhibition, B2B match making meetings, Forum and the AFECA Asia MICE Youth Challenge.

MACEOS will continue to champion the MICE or Business Events industry in Malaysia and its Executive Council members with its permanent secretariat will seek to build on the excellent platform established in recent years to take the industry to the next level as we look to compete even more effectively with other countries in the region for a bigger piece of the lucrative MICE or Business Events market – especially with the creation of the AEC (ASEAN Economic Community) in 2015.
