About Business & Major Events Academic Council (BMEAC)
The establishment of the Business & Major Events Academic Council (BMEAC) in 2014 was to identify areas of collaboration between the Business Events (meetings, incentives, conventions, and exhibitioners), Major Events industry and the tertiary institutions for capacity building in developing program standards and raising awareness through engagement via various activities – bid challenges, Future Leaders Day, internships, orientation days, international competitions, etc. the council is made up of members from Malaysia Convention & Exhibition Bureau (MyCEB), Malaysian Association of Convention and Exhibition Organisers and Suppliers (MACEOS), and university lecturers.
